  • 1 heavy bottomed deep pan


  • 1 tbsp olive oil/ vegan butter
  • 1 onion diced
  • 4-5 cloves garlic chopped
  • 450 gms mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp flour gluten free
  • 1 cup almond milk or other plant-based milk unsweetened
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp herb dried
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper ground


  • Firstly, in a large pot, heat olive oil or vegan butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and chopped garlic. Saute until onions are translucent.
  • Now, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become golden brown.
  • Add flour and cook for 2 mins till the rawness of the flour goes away. And, keep stirring.
  • Now, add water, salt, pepper and herb. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Finally, after 5-7 minutes, add almond or any other plant-based milk. Stir continously.
  • Serve immediately.
