Dhaniya Pudina chutney also known as Green Chutney is made with fresh coriander leaves( Dhaniya) and Mint leaves( pudina) along with green chillies. No onion or garlic is used in this chutney recipe, you can use this chutney during fasts.

Green Chutney/ Mint Coriander Chutney

Also called Dhaniya Pudina Chutney, Green Chutney is made up of very few ingredients and very quick and easy to make. This chutney is best to accompany with samosas, pakodas, vada pav, dhokla or even dal roti. Additionally, we are not using onion or garlic so we can also use this in fasts. You can store this green chutney in an airtight container for 10-15 days because we are using curd in it. Even if you are dieting, this green chutney is a very good solution to add taste to any bland and tasteless food. Moreover, we have not add any sugar in it.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Mint( Pudina)
  • 1 cup Coriander( Dhania)
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Green Chilly
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • To make the green chutney, add all the ingredients to the blender.
  • Secondly, add 1 tbsp of water at a time.
  • Make a thick paste, add more water if needed.
  • Finally, store this green chutney in a dry airtight glass container.
  • Refrigerate and use when needed.

Notes

The easiest Green Chutney Recipe which elevates the taste and flavour of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, kathi rolls or any other Indian Snack. The best part is we have not used any onion or garlic in this Chutney Recipe. So you can use this in your fasts too. You will always find Green Chutney in my refrigerator because it adds taste to every meal. My husband loves this chutney a lot.
Points to take care-
  • Firstly, You can change the ratio of mint and coriander according to your taste.
  • Secondly, for tangy taste, you can add mango powder( amch0or) or even tamarind pulp. They both have a very good and unique flavour.
  • But, if you use lemon juice the green colour of the chutney will remain intact. Lemon juice helps to maintain the green colour of the chutney.
